Plane Dream
December 2004
Normally I do not dream, so when I have one I tend to take notice of it.
The dream started with me pulling the car I was driving off a country road and up to the front area of what I knew was a farm. It was in the middle of the countryside with nothing other than fields and barns around the main house.
I got out of the car and saw a man coming out of a barn writing in his large sized notepad. I knew he was official because in the middle of a farm yard he was dressed in a dark blue suit.
"Has it finshed?" I heard myself say to him.
Looking up at me, he replied "Yes, you've missed the sale".
As I looked around at the empty house and yard area, I said, "is there nothing left?"
The man paused for a minute looking me up and down, and replied, "the only thing that didn't sell is behind the barn".
We walked over to him and around the side of the main barn building. Sitting on the grass was a large twin engined jet plane, with enough space to carry a team of people on a missions trip.
It seemed so out of place in the middle of a farmers yard.
"How much is it?" I asked. "We have to sell it, so make me an offer" came the reply.
Looking at the man, then the plane and back several time, I replied, "$1".
Without hesitation he accepted the offer and handed me his note pad for me to sign the form that was on the top. I handed over the $1 and he left me standing there looking at the plane.
Suddenly the thought came to me "Now what am I going to do with it - I can't fly!!"
Thoughts
I've often gone back to the dream many times, pondering on whether it literally going to happen or about the interpretation.
So I believe it could be two-fold:-
1. It is very clear that we are living in days of accelleration. With the end time harvest coming, many are having increased ministry opportunities opening up.
To be able to move around nations and into other nations there is going to be an increasing need for planes (as well as other transportation means) to be able to carry ministry teams into the harvest fields to build up the Body and help make The Bride ready for his return.
Planes held by one ministry for the use of other ministries. A resource for the Kingdom and not just one group. I believe that this is one interpretation.
(In 2007, we started hearing of a couple in France, who have seen the same need and are working on making it a reality).
2. That if the Lord is wanting to provide this ministry with any type of plane, then it would be provided at little or no cost, and that it would be a tool to take ministries & teams we work with, as well as ourselves at times, to the nations.
To that end I'm open and have left it with the Lord to fulfil the dream above everything else and to use us anyway He chooses
